Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 July 2026

This policy explains what personal data Selene Hire (provided by Prestidigitation Labs) collects, how we use it, and your rights. For any privacy question, reach us through our contact form.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information you provide when you sign up: your name, company, and work email.
  • Content you upload to use the Service, such as job descriptions and candidate information.
  • Usage & technical data collected automatically, such as your email domain, sign-up time, the referring page and any campaign parameters, and your browser's user-agent.

2. How we use it

  • To create and manage your account and provide the Service.
  • To contact you about your account, access, and important product updates.
  • To understand demand and improve the product (in aggregate, non-identifying form).
  • To protect the Service from spam, abuse, and fraud.

Our legal bases include performing our agreement with you, your consent, and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Service.

3. Candidate data & AI

Candidate data you upload is used to perform your screening — it is not used to train foundation models. Candidates can be anonymized on request: their resume file is deleted and personal identifiers are removed, while non-identifying metrics are retained.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data or share it with advertising networks. We use service providers (such as cloud hosting and AI processing) strictly to operate the Service, under appropriate safeguards.

5. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for a reasonable period afterward or until you ask us to delete it. Financial and audit records are retained as required by law.

6. Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to stop contacting you, at any time through our contact form. Every non-essential email includes an unsubscribe option.

7. Storage & security

Data is hosted and processed on Amazon Web Services in the United States (AWS US East / Northern Virginia region) and protected with encryption in transit and at rest and role-based access controls. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed there. See our Security & Responsible AI page for more.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
