Pay only for what Selene does

Usage-based credits — free to start, no subscription, no per-seat fees, no lock-in. You pay as Selene works, scaled to how much and how complex the job is.

The model

Simple, usage-based credits

Credits are the unit of Selene's work. You buy them, and you spend them as she works — the bigger the job, the more they draw.

🎁

Free to start

Every new account comes with free credits — enough to set up a role, build a scoring guide, and screen your first batch of candidates.

Priced by the work

A quick question draws a little; screening a full batch or building a scoring guide draws more. You pay in proportion to the work Selene does for you.

📊

Charged from real usage

Each action is billed from the actual work it took, after it runs — never an up-front estimate. Lighter tasks cost less, bigger ones a little more. You only ever pay for what you used.

How usage adds up

Why some tasks cost more than others

Credits scale with the work. The more Selene has to read, reason over, and write, the more a task draws — so you pay in proportion to what she does for you.

Light

A little

A quick follow-up question, a single criterion tweak, or a short polish of a job ad.

Medium

A bit more

Screening and scoring a candidate, drafting a tailored rejection, or prepping a candidate's interview questions.

Heavier

The most

Building a full scoring guide from scratch, or screening a large batch of applicants in one go.

You're billed for the work Selene does for you — not for clicking around the app.

No surprises

The fine print, up front

A hard stop at zero

Selene never spends credits you don't have. When your balance reaches zero, new AI actions pause — there's no automatic charge when your free credits run out.

A heads-up before you run low

As your balance gets low, Selene flags it in plain language — "about enough for 5 more candidates" — so you can top up on your own terms, never mid-surprise.

Credits valid for 12 months

Credits are valid for 12 months from the date they're granted or purchased, and the expiry for each batch is always visible in your billing wallet.

Cost-aware on big batches

Bulk actions — like importing and scoring a batch of CVs — show a cost estimate and ask for a single confirmation before they run.

In practice

You always know where you stand

Set up a role, screen a batch of applicants, and your credit balance updates in the header as you go. When it's running low, Selene tells you in plain language — "about enough for 5 more candidates" — so a session ends when you're ready, not by surprise. Everything is billed in USD, and taxes are handled at checkout.

Pricing FAQ

The details

Is there a subscription or per-seat fee?

No. Selene is purely usage-based — you buy credits and spend them as she works. There's no monthly subscription, no per-seat charge, and no annual contract.

How is the cost of an action decided?

Each AI action is charged from the actual work it takes to run, using the current rate — then rounded up to the nearest whole credit. Because it's based on real usage, a short task costs less than a long one. You're charged after the action completes, never with an up-front estimate for individual actions.

What happens when my credits run out?

Your account pauses new AI actions until you add more credits. There's no automatic charge when your free credits run out — you stay in control of when you top up.

Do credits expire?

Yes — credits are valid for 12 months from the date they're granted or purchased. The expiry date for each batch is always visible in your billing wallet, and credits are never expired silently.

How do I buy more credits?

When you need more, you top up in a few clicks from your billing settings. Top-ups are billed in USD, with tax handled at checkout.

Can I control spend on large batches?

Yes. Bulk operations show a cost estimate and require one confirmation before they run, and the hard stop at zero means Selene never spends beyond your balance.
